Dr. Ruholt Nienaber earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), where she also obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Nienaber has given presentations in Kentucky and Indiana on research projects that explore child development of identity, trauma-based therapy programs in the school, and how early attachments, or lack thereof, can affect later behavior, daily functioning, and relationships. She completed her dissertation at Eastern Kentucky University, forming a trauma-based therapy program for the school system that could target and reach more students. This was developed after Dr. Ruholt Nienaber noticed the lack of services available in some areas and school systems. It was developed to be used in the areas and schools she worked in as a practicum student.
