Adilia Taylor, LPCC ~ Ft. Thomas Location

Adilia Taylor, LPCC is experienced in working with children of all ages, as well as families and couples. She works with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, mood disorders, ADHD, and other emotional, personality and behavioral diagnoses. She also works with people experiencing trauma and she uses a Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) approach to treatment. Adilia has a passion for empowering clients to be the best versions of themselves and collaborating with the clients on their treatment goals. As a former athlete and coach, she also has a special interest in helping youth navigate through life’s academic and athletic stressors. She utilizes an eclectic array of therapeutic modalities, some of which include CBT, REBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Reality therapy.
Adilia has a background in marriage and family therapy work, allowing her to take on a systems approach to help not only an individual, but the unit of support.
Adilia’s bilingual, bicultural background also allows her to address the special needs of our Spanish-speaking communities.
Adilia graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Upon graduating in 2015, Adilia began working for a non-profit agency where she worked for 5 years as a children’s outpatient counselor/therapist. As she worked her way up in the agency, Adilia became a clinical supervisor of an in-home team of counselors and case managers geared to provide wraparound services to elementary school children/families and parents in the welfare system.
After two years as a supervisor, Adilia then went on to become a Director of Prevention and Family Preservation, where she oversaw treatment teams comprised of counselors, case managers, peer mentors, and supervisors working to prevent judicial involvement in families and the removal of children from their homes. In addition, Adilia has provided private counseling to a broad range of clients.
Adilia first became licensed in Florida and holds dual licenses as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. After getting married and relocating to Kentucky, she became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)in the State; Adilia is also licensed in Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist. She also holds certifications as a Wraparound Facilitator and Coach, as well as a Certified Behavioral Health Case Management Supervisor.
Due to her licenses in Kentucky, Ohio and Florida, Adilia is able to work with clients via telehealth in all three states, in addition to in person work at our Ft. Thomas office location.
