Amber Smith, LCSW ~ Florence Location
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Amber Smith is passionate about helping teens and young adults grow through what they go through. With a warm and approachable style, Amber creates a safe and supportive space where adolescents feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
Amber specializes in working with teens who are facing tough challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Whether your teen is struggling with their mental health, feeling overwhelmed, or just needs someone to talk to who "gets it," Amber is committed to walking alongside them with empathy and guidance. With a strong foundation in both individual and group therapy, Amber brings experience from intensive outpatient settings (IOP), as well as traditional counseling. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Northern Kentucky University and her Master’s from the University of Louisville, graduating Magna Cum Laude with both degrees. |
Amber’s approach is highly individualized and grounded in trust. She uses evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Strength-Based Therapy—all while keeping each teen’s unique personality and needs at the center of the process.
She works collaboratively with families when appropriate and believes in empowering teens to build resilience, self-awareness, and the tools they need to thrive.
If your teen is going through a hard time, or just needing someone to talk to and help navigate life, Amber is here to help them take the next step toward healing, growth, and confidence.
