Dr. Christine Norris enjoys working with clients experiencing a wide range of presenting concerns. She is especially passionate about and has extensive experience with psychological assessment in all age groups. She is experienced in utilizing measures of intellectual functioning, cognitive functioning, adaptive functioning, personality, memory, emotional functioning, academic achievement, and behavioral functioning. Dr. Norris also has training and experience providing individual, outpatient counseling using evidence-based treatment approaches grounded in Cognitive Behavioral, Interpersonal, and Feminist therapies.
Dr. Norris is a licensed psychologist in Kentucky and in Ohio. She earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University (APA Accredited), where she also obtained her master’s degree. She completed her doctoral internship at Eastway Behavioral Healthcare (where she focused on forensic assessment) and Wright State University’s Counseling and Wellness Center. |
She previously worked with college students at Southern Illinois University’s Counseling and Psychological Services. She also conducted assessments through the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities in the Division of Disability Determination, and has experience doing inpatient civil commitment evaluations to determine the least restrictive treatment environment for involuntarily hospitalized individuals.
Dr. Norris is not on insurance panels, therefore her services are all private pay. |
