Lauren works with children, adolescents, and young adults seeking help for a variety of issues, including anxiety, self-esteem, grief, and emotion dysregulation. She is particularly passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma. She has received training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and enjoys helping clients to regain their sense of self and safety and to learn ways to better manage trauma-related symptoms. She enjoys taking a collaborative approach with clients and families to best serve their needs.
Lauren is currently a fourth-year student in Xavier University's Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program with an area of interest in working with children and adolescents. |
She has clinical experience providing therapy and assessment services in a community mental health setting with an emphasis on serving youths of diverse backgrounds, including families involved in the foster care system. Other clinical experiences include providing school-based individual and group therapy to elementary school students and providing therapy services to college students through the Xavier University Psychological Services Center. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from James Madison University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
As a Xavier practicum student, Lauren's clinical work at Viewpoint is being supervised by Dr. Kristy Fritz-Bosse, licensed clinical psychologist. Lauren is not on insurance panels, therefore her services are private pay only, and offered at a reduced rate.
